Everything you need to know about booking Memory Lane

Below are the 25 most common questions about booking Memory Lane Live Entertainment for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Memory Lane recommends booking 12–18 months in advance for Saturday wedding dates, offers packages from $3,750 to $7,250, and performs genres spanning Motown, classic rock, pop, R&B, Bollywood, Caribbean, Spanish/Latino, and Arabic music.

How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 12-18 months in advance for wedding receptions, especially for Saturday dates. Popular dates fill up fast! For corporate events, 6-12 months is usually sufficient. The earlier you reach out, the better your chances of securing your preferred date.
What genres do you play?
Everything! We specialize in Motown, classic rock, modern pop, Top 40, disco, R&B, hip-hop, and even Bollywood, Caribbean, Spanish/Latino, and Arabic music. We customize every setlist to match your taste and your crowd. Whether you want all-time classics or the latest hits, we've got you covered.
Do you provide DJ services too?
Yes! Most of our packages include DJ service between live sets. You get one seamless entertainment experience — no need to book a separate DJ. Our DJ adds songs your live band can't cover and keeps energy high during transitions.
Can we customize the setlist?
Absolutely. Every couple gets a setlist consultation. You can request specific songs, must-plays, and do-not-plays. We also take live requests during the event. Our goal is to play the songs that matter most to you and your guests.
What's included in the sound setup?
We bring professional-grade equipment: Midas M32 digital console, JBL/EV PA speakers, stage monitors, in-ear monitor system, and all necessary microphones and cables. Our target is crisp, clear sound at 110dB SPL — concert-quality audio for your celebration.
Do you play outdoor events?
Yes! We have experience with both indoor and outdoor venues across the GTA. We adjust our setup for any environment and bring weather-appropriate equipment covers for outdoor events. Let us know your venue and we'll make it work perfectly.
How much space do you need on stage?
Ideally, a 12x16 ft stage for our 5-piece, 12x20 ft for our 7-piece, and 12x24 ft for our 10-piece — but we can be flexible and will work with your venue coordinator to make it fit.
Do you travel outside the GTA?
We've performed across Ontario, as well as BC, Alberta and the US. Travel fees may apply for venues more than 1 hour away from Toronto. Contact us with your location and we'll provide a custom quote.
What happens if a band member gets sick?
We have a roster of professional musicians who can step in. In 12+ years, we've never missed a gig. Your event is too important to us — we'll always have a backup plan to ensure the show goes on.
How do deposits and payments work?
We require a 25-50% deposit to secure your date, with the balance due prior to the start of the event. We accept cash, cheque and e-transfers. We'll send you an invoice with all payment details once your booking is confirmed.

Does Memory Lane play Bollywood music?
Yes! Memory Lane specializes in multicultural celebrations and performs Bollywood, Caribbean, Spanish/Latino, and Arabic music alongside English pop, rock, R&B, Motown, and Top 40 hits. We are one of the few GTA wedding bands that can seamlessly transition between cultural genres within the same set, making us ideal for multicultural weddings and diverse celebrations.
What is included in Memory Lane's DJ service?
Our DJ service fills the gaps between live band sets with a curated mix of songs that match your event's vibe. The DJ plays during cocktail hour, dinner, band breaks, and after the final live set. Our Signature and Spectacular packages include DJ service, and it can be added to the Essentials package. The DJ uses the same professional sound system as the band for seamless transitions.
Does Memory Lane travel to Muskoka or Niagara?
Absolutely! Memory Lane has performed at destination weddings across Ontario including Muskoka, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Prince Edward County, and Collingwood, as well as venues in British Columbia, Alberta, and the United States. Travel fees apply for venues more than 1 hour from Toronto. Contact us with your venue details and we will provide a custom quote including travel.
Can Memory Lane perform at my ceremony and cocktail hour too?
Yes! We offer ceremony musician and cocktail hour set add-ons. For ceremonies, we can provide an acoustic duo or trio for processional, recessional, and interlude music. For cocktail hour, we offer background jazz and acoustic sets. These can be added to any of our three core packages for a seamless all-day entertainment experience.
How many guests can Memory Lane entertain?
Memory Lane scales to fit any event size. Our Essentials 5-piece is perfect for intimate gatherings up to 100 guests. The Signature 7-piece handles 100-250 guests beautifully — this is our most popular wedding package. The Spectacular 10-piece production is designed for grand celebrations of 250+ guests. We bring professional sound systems sized appropriately for your venue and guest count.

What is Memory Lane's cancellation policy?

Cancellations within 6 months are subject to our contract terms. We also offer date changes when possible. Full cancellation policy details are provided in our booking contract.
Can we see Memory Lane perform before booking?
Yes! We have several options: watch our demo videos on our Videos page and YouTube channel, check out our Instagram @memorylanetoronto for recent performance clips, or schedule a consultation where we can walk you through our setlist and performance style. We occasionally perform at public events and showcases — follow us on social media for announcements.
Does Memory Lane provide lighting and production?
Our Spectacular 10-piece package includes stage lighting. For additional production elements like uplighting, dance floor lighting, or special effects, we can recommend trusted production partners we regularly work with. Our professional sound system (Midas M32 console, JBL/EV speakers) is included in all packages.
How long does Memory Lane perform at a wedding?
Performance duration varies by package: the Essentials includes 2 sets of live music, the Signature includes 3 sets with 6 hours of total music coverage (live + DJ), and the Spectacular offers 3 full sets with 7 hours of music coverage including dedicated DJ + MC. Additional hours can be added to any package.
What makes Memory Lane different from other Toronto wedding bands?
Three things set Memory Lane apart: First, our multicultural repertoire — we seamlessly blend Bollywood, Caribbean, Spanish/Latino, and Arabic music with English pop, rock, and R&B, which most GTA bands cannot do. Second, our scalability — from a duo to a full 10-piece with horns, all under one booking. Third, our integrated Band + DJ + MC model means one team handles your entire evening with no gaps or awkward transitions.
Is Memory Lane available for corporate events?
Yes! Memory Lane regularly performs at corporate events, holiday parties, galas, and fundraisers. Past corporate clients include Aon Hewitt, Pratt & Whitney, The Home Depot, RE/MAX, Rotary International, SickKids Foundation, and Delta Hotels. We tailor our setlist and energy to match the corporate atmosphere while keeping the entertainment engaging and professional.
What happens on the day of the event?
On event day, Memory Lane arrives 2-3 hours before showtime for setup and soundcheck. We coordinate with your venue and event planner to ensure everything runs smoothly. During the event, we follow the timeline you have approved, handle all music transitions, take live requests, and adapt our energy to the room. After the event, we handle teardown so you can enjoy the rest of your evening.
